KORN Bassist Fieldy Takes Hiatus From Band

KORN bassist, Fieldy, just announced that he is taking a hiatus from the band that he's been an original member of for 28 years. He mentioned some "bad habits" that have caused tension within the band and wants to handle his own business by taking time away.

This news breaks as bands start to come out from hibernation caused by the pandemic, many who are now getting ready to head out on tour. Korn will gas up their tour busses and head out with Staind next month to blanket North America and Europe. Who will fill in for Fieldy on bass? In 2017, he dipped out of the band and Robert Trujillo's 12 year old son, Tye, filled in for him for their shows. (I gotta believe Tye is one of the luckiest kids to have a dad that just happens to be in Metallica.)

No shame in holding yourself accountable and wanting to handle any mental health or personal issues. Personally, I think many people don't want to address issues b/c of the negative stigma associated with admitting you need to get yourself right. There is ZERO shame in getting help for mental health, trying to get clean and/or sober or just disconnecting for a bit and taking the time to be at your best. When you break your arm, you get a cast. Why not do the same for your mental health?
